Overview
Klarion Call II Wind Harp is installed on top of one of the entrance pillars at the beginning of the Veterans Footbridge crossing the San Juan River in Pagosa Springs
Goals
This pedestrian bridge is one of three footbridges crossing the San Juan River in Pagosa Springs CO. allowing visitors to explore the beautiful Riverwalk on both sides of the river. The Wind Harp sings in response to the unrestricted wind currents traveling up and down the river creating a collaborative soundscape with the soothing harmonies of the river .
Process
This was a collaboration between Ross Barrable and Jennifer Green, Director of City of Pagosa Springs Tourism Dept. The goal was to install a Wind Harp sculpture on one of the pedestrian bridges to enhance the visitor experience of exploring our beautiful river walk along the San Juan River flowing through town.
Additional Information
The Theme of this project is " Singing Bridges" appropriately named after the experience of walking across the bridge and hearing the ambient presence of the San Juan River harmonize with the seasonal tapestry of Wind Harp songs.
