Overview
One of 5 commissioned public artworks for the Connective Corridor, a joint initiative of Syracuse University and the City of Syracuse, to enhance the relationship between the University and City.
Goals
With Connective Corridor team and City representatives, various sites were considered, with final selection determined by artist. The narrow alley location, recently improved by the City, dictated a tall shallow structure using an existing parking structure as backdrop and support.
Process
Following selection by competition, the artist, Connective Corridor project manager, City representatives and building owner have work closely to determine feasibility and necessary steps to realize the sculpture
