The proposal is a moving installation of approximately 12 units for Baltimore’s Light City Festival. Each unit is lit independently and the units can be engaged or dispersed, acting together as a single work of many units or independently, illuminating individual aspects of the neighborhood. The work was a installed at three locations along the community’s corridor of Washington Boulevard in Baltimore.
Goals
The installation was commissioned for the Light City Baltimore Festival where neighborhood involvement was key. The work was an identity, a focus for lectures, and a placemaker for small business engagement and community interaction and workshops.
