Overview
RIVER is a creation of artist Elizabeth MacDonald of ceramic tiles mounted on wood, measuring 80.5” x 52.5″.
Goals
The spa wanted an image from the landscape around the property.
Process
The artist produced tile “paintings” by layering color onto thin, textured stoneware, achieving a surface that combines the subtlety of nature with the formality of a grid.
