Overview
The purpose was to create three large scale sculptural pieces that addressed three of the ecosystems. These works of art also had to dampen and absorb the sound in this large glass, metal, and terrazzo area.
Goals
The criteria was to meet healthcare facility codes in materials as well as withstanding a heavily sunlit area without fading or warping. Each Alcove was 20 feet by 12 feet with a 4 inch depth. Behind each piece, acoustical wall was placed to absorb the sound of all the terrazzo and metal and glass.
Process
The artist worked closely with Maregatti Interiors, the Begley Art Source as well as fire marshall, contractors and architects.
