Overview
“Rays” curves up and away from a pond of a private collector, along its 150 foot length it tapers from a high of 18 feet to 3 feet, quoting the drystack stone walls common to the region
Goals
The challenge was to create a work that both blends into the landscape but also of a scale adequate to its setting. The sculpture follows a gentle curve that navigates existing mature trees
Process
Working with art consultant Katie Block, over the course of several site visits the artist and client identified potential locations for artwork and worked together to finalize designs.
Additional Information
"Rays" has a small companion piece on the opposite side of the pond "Sawyer"
