Overview
Designed and produced by Craig Newswanger, co-founder of Resonance Studio. The Raylights are audio-activated to respond to viewers input. Music, voice, clapping, singings, drum beats all create their own variations of color and rotating mandalas-like patterns. Two Raylights were mounted at the entrance to the GLOW Exhibition at the San Francisco Exploratorium, November 2022 – January 2023.
Goals
The Raylights engage viewers directly. As the colors and patterns change with volume and the types of sounds, the Raylights become more animated and encourage more interaction and the viewer becomes the artist.
