Overview
the two sculptures on pedestals represent two keepers, guarding the access to the hotel as a reminder of the passage of time.
sculptures are two meters high each one
Goals
these sculptures, draw and enhance the symmetry of the building instead of the main entrance: the stairs.
works follow the verticality of the building, but have the contrast of contemporary materials, the simplicity of the essence, as two totems determining access to another magical space
Process
This project is inside OPEN festival, held during the Venice Film Festival.
Have been created in collaboration with Carlotta Scarpa, Director of
PDG Communications Arts, Venezia.
Additional Information
I think I have achieved a nice balance between sculpture and place ... there is a contrast between contemporary sculpture and the Art Nouveau building, but is harmonious, not dissonant or aggressive ... the shapes speak the same language, there is an internal dialogue ...
