Overview

Wall Sculpture for Common Area at Corporate Offices in Des Moines.
The client approached the gallery looking for an art piece for one of the gathering spaces at the company’s headquarters.
I did many drawings in order to come up with the final design and the gallery created the renderings to be presented to the client.
Color samples will submitted until the right color was chosen.
I fabricated the piece at the studio, cutting each individual element, welding, grinding and painting them.
The final installation was achieved on site.
Light and shadows create a floating effect over the fireplace and the different purple colors enrich the common space.

Goals

The goal was to create a sculptural installation on a common area of the company headquarters. The piece had to create a warm and welcoming place, being seen from afar and be easy to maintain.
