Overview
When a young, hip Chicago resident and professional poker player retained Chicago-based Inspired Interiors to transform his 1,700-square-foot, basic three-bedroom condominium in River North into an urban oasis for modern living and entertaining, the Inspired Interiors design team was up for the challenge. The client, who is also a gifted musician, frequently hosts parties, impromptu poker games and the occasional jam session. The space Inspired Interiors created had to satisfy his many entertaining needs.
Goals
The overall design is contemporary and monochromatic; however, artwork by the client’s sister was incorporated to provide bold splashes of color throughout the space. In addition, four pairs of sconces in the apartment were used to create dimension and ambiance. And a piano, where the client creates his “art” and entertains, served as the centerpiece of the home. The result is an open and inviting atmosphere – an entertainer’s paradise perfect for the next gathering.
Process
Inspired Interiors worked closely with the client to incorporate several treasured pieces of art created by his sister into his home.
