Overview

The winged Pegasus is the logo of UCF; The bas-relief sculpted horse was cast in glass, guilt 23K Gold, installed vertically with stainless pins and black silicone on the brick facade over the main entrance of the central campus bookstore. Part two of the commission is the Constellation of Pegasus which featured gold leaf backed stars attached to a pre-existing glass block wall. Commission completed for the Art In State Buildings Program, University of Central Florida, Orlando, FL. The Pegasus is five foot across, bas-relief about 3″ thick.

Goals

The Pegasus is the mascot symbol of University of Central Florida. The school colors and Gold and Black. The Gold Glass Pegasus can be seen from central campus over the entrance of the bookstore. The Constellation consists of the glass stars adhered to the glass block as you walk down the breeze way.
