Overview
This limited edition bronze (1/10) on a stainless steel base stands 82 inches high.
Goals
The client was interested in creating a representation of the love and passion two people feel for each other, like that seen in Gusatv Klimts "The kiss". As I created this the client fell in love with the modest representation of the nude figures. So we agreed to not use drapery on the piece. The sculpture is in private courtyard in the center of the clients home.
Process
Working closely with the client on all details of the sculpture included everything from changing the position of the legs to the style of hair. The client enjoyed being involved with laying the clay on the armature at the beginning to sharing in the installation at the end of the project. I have a close working relationship with the artisans such as the mold makers, patina artist and foundry workers.
