Overview
Passage is a site specific, backlit artwork that is integrated with the interior architecture of the Mountain View Community Center. Located at the end of the corridor leading from the front lobby to the rear offices, it is the primary impact piece directly across from the entry doors. This floor-to-ceiling image is printed on film, laminated within two 1/4″ sheets of glass, and installed using a commercial storefront system in front of LED lightpanels directly on the wall. At 116″ (v) x 60″ (h), the artwork fills the rear wall area that is visible from the front door.
Additional Information
Passage is the creation of a visionary experience of nature, featuring a fantastic look into the central California woodland environment. The artwork is designed to produce a sense of expansive space and light, inviting the visitor and the staff alike to find the beauty and importance in their experience of this place.
