Overview

Sculpture has the ability to move people, unite people, and have them look at the world with a new perspective. Particles is actually two sculptures: Particles VII and Particles IX. Particles VII is 90” x 52” x 52”and Particles IX is 116” x 58” x 58”. (Separate pricing.) Each element of sculpture is 2” thick, made from two layers of 1/4” thick S-316 stainless steel with mirror-polished surface. They are shiny and reflective. Reflections are an important part of why I enjoy working with polished stainless steel, and also the fact that it’s very much a contemporary material, having gained widespread use only in the last 50 years or so.I want my work to reflect today, the time we share together. I mean the 21stCentury, I mean Silicon Valley, I mean even global changes that move so fast. Art is an incredible tool for communicating and helping to generate ideas that can impact people. My art is my contribution to society.

Goals

For me art is not optional, but as necessary as breathing. We all want more opportunities to get our work out into the world, and I want to see sculpture be recognized
as an essential element of our culture. Sculpture has the ability to move people, unite people, and have them look at the world with a new perspective.
