Overview
This project included 6 large-scale stainless dandelions over 15ft tall installed in West Palm Beach Downtown. These flowers are fabricated from 100% Marine Grade Stainless Steel with outdoor rated lighting systems. These lighting systems have a 50,000 hour life-span and have the ability to be fully customizable (color,speed,intensity). Each bloom contains over 1,000 individual pedals and roughly weighs up to 700 lbs. All flowers are designed to withstand all of the elements: wind, rain, salt as well as low to zero maintenance. With our engineering team, we were able to design the blooms to withstand Category 5 winds (200 mph).
Goals
Within the blooms and surrounding space are motion sensors installed to create a memorable interactive experience, acting as a magnet for all that is near igniting unique lighting arrays.
