Casa del Herrero
Overview
Historic Home needed garden sculpture; painted 1/4″ steel 6″ wide captures the energy of plants pushing vertically 8′-10′ out of the ground and the horizontal movement some 10′ wide. The sculptures reflect nature yet the bright automobile colors stand out against the garden environment.
Goals
The Historic Home is open to the public and wanted sculpture displayed in the formal gardens. My work is brightly colored, 8'-10' high at a human scale, and perfect for the site.
Process
I worked directly with the Casa del Herrero staff in Montecito, CA to place and install the sculptures.
