Overview

Ocean Wave is based upon the vertical and horizontal flow of water generated by the many cruise ships that enter the Miami harbor.

Goals

The undulations in the suspended sculpture represent the ebbs and flows of the waves, and the sheer length of the terminal itself is highlighted by the installation's massive scale.

Process

The project was inspired by an ocean wave's dynamic form and organic flow.

Additional Information

The project enlivens the port's architecture, creating a soaring iconic symbol.
