Goals
Since the library is in Ocean County NJ, the theme of the building is abstract ocean. The atrium sculpture depicts sunlight filtering through shallow water with wave shaped aluminum armatures.
Process
The artist met with the architect on several occasions. He was instrumental in assisting with the project dimensions, and aided in the hiring the crew and scissor lift for installation. The designer shared her ideas for color and design with the artist.
