Overview
Artist Carole Feuerman designed the “Next Summer” to replicate a Woman lying on a Inter tube. The Figure was bronze cast with Artist Painting and Inner tube was SS Cast with High Polish Finish
Goals
Artist and ART Research each had the same goal and that was to create a hyper realistic sculpture of a woman lying on a inner tube enjoying her backyard pool. Collaborating with the Artist we were able to reach our goal for the Collector.
Process
Artist Carole Feuerman supplied the original patterns to be molded. The inner tube was cast in stainless steel and the figure of the woman was cast in bronze. They were mechanically connected so the figure could be hyper realistically painted. The inner tube was sanded and polished to a high mirror polish finish. The fit of the bronze of the bronze figure to the SS inner tube was critical to the project. It had to look just like a person lying on a pool inner tube. The artist worked with ART both in the wax phase and the raw metal phase to inspect the connections. The artist did the final painting of the bronze figure after ART Research primed the surface in preparation for the paint.
