Fabricated from bronze with a stainless steel frame, these sculptured gates are 200 sq ft, by 8 ft high, by 25 ft wide Hydraulic controlled entrance gates, situated on the street leading up to the driveway to the residence of a major art collector and president of Microsoft. The Gates had to accommodate a 1 ft rise in the driveway slope to open and wide enough to allow a fire truck access.
The sculptured gates were to be a welcoming symbol to the sculptured grounds and art collection of the owners in the residence.
Artist collaborated with architect George Suyama and hydraulic engineers to accommodate the aesthetic demands of the site.
The gates have been in operation since their installation without any problems.
