Overview
This 8‘ x 28‘ ceramic tile mosaic mural, HIGHLIGHTS, features the architectural gems in the city of Milwaukee. It was a participatory mural involving three Milwaukee inner city schools and the artist. When the venue construction was complete, the mural was installed in the Fiserv forum, the NBA arena of the Milwaukee Bucks.
Goals
The goal of the project was to highlight the Milwaukee Bucks and the city of Milwaukee.
Process
Working with art teachers and three inner-city Milwaukee schools, I taught the art of mosaic to the students to bring self empowerment. My platform uses mosaic mural-making, as a dynamic means to engage and teach leadership, and team building skills. together, we created various aspects of the mural.
