Overview
A transformative installation for a transformative company. The ZEBRADOG design and development team created a data-driven, generative art installation at the Exact Sciences headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin. Directly influenced by local weather conditions at the start of each hour, the Exact Sciences Living Mural paints live artistic renderings of fractal patterns found in biology, on the frontiers of medical research, and in modern technology. Using these patterns as a symbol, this mural reflects Exact Science’s passion for understanding and harnessing the power of the natural world for the purpose of improving the lives of those in it.
Goals
The goal was to create ever changing artwork that enhanced the atrium space at Exact Sciences while providing real insights into the weather around us. Fractal patterns naturally found in biology serve as inspiration for the generative art. Elements within the art, like brush stroke, color, and speed of painting, all come together tell the user about the temperature, wind speed, and humidity.
