Overview
My Dreamscapes Photographs were selected for a Public Art Installation at Miami International Airport by the Fine Arts and Cultural Affairs Board consisting of representatives from the Professional Miami Art Community. The Exhibition took place at the CameraWorks Gallery near Gate D-22. The exhibition is currently on view through March 2017.
Goals
My work for this exhibition was photographed in and around the Miami area, and the subject matter fit in perfectly with the environment of MIA. The photographs were archivally mounted between plexiglas to give a modern aesthetic to the work. The exhibition brought a fresh look to the CameraWorks Gallery and in perfect time for Art Basel Season.
Process
I worked closely with Gendry Sherer, Public Art and Community Outreach Coordinator. Both Claudia Andonie, who wrote the original proposal, and I, took site visits to the exhibition location. Dr. Yolanda Sånchez, Director of Fine Arts and Cultural Affairs, selected the photographs for the installation.
Additional Information
I immensely enjoyed the collaboration with Claudia, Gendry and Yolanda. I am most excited by this wonderful Public Art Installation
