Overview
Meta Girl embodies the essence of female power, bravery, courage, pride, and resilience. In our ever-changing world, where the dynamics of human interaction are constantly evolving, particularly with the rise of social media and the increasing shift of our lives to digital platforms, it becomes vital to question how we perceive ourselves and others. Meta Girl challenges our preconceptions and prompts us to explore the deeper meaning of personhood.
Created in 2021, Meta Girl is a stunning statue crafted from mirror-polished stainless steel, standing at impressive dimensions of 92” x 40” x 40”. Captured in a defiant pose, with arms akimbo and standing on high heels, this representative sculpture portrays a young woman fearlessly gazing towards the future, embodying strength and resilience.
Goals
The goal was to create a work using traditional methods and technology.
Process
This was the artist's creation. It premiered at Burning Man. It is now in front a boutique hotel in Downtown San Francisco.
