Overview
An 8.5’ x 125’ x 6’ exterior acrylic mural that wraps around a Frank Gehry-designed building at Facebook Headquarters in Menlo Park. The entire mural encompasses three walls of MPK 21’s Lobby 9 with continuous design applied to the sidewalks surrounding the building.
Goals
The mural serves as a means of wayfinding for guest to locate the entrance of the building. Since the surrounding space is dimly lit, the mural's purpose was also to bring more vibrancy to the area.
Process
This immersive piece was designed in one week, including one round of feedback. Installation took approximately 2 weeks, with help from one assistant.
Additional Information
This is one of my favorite projects to date. I find so much joy when I incorporate my designs throughout the entirety of the space and painting on unexpected surfaces.
