Overview
Commissioned by the City of Loveland Public Art Commission, Memoria is the last component of a five year renovation of Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park, after a catastrophic flood in 2013.
Goals
When the 2013 flood tore through the Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park in the Thompson Canyon west of Loveland, it destroyed than 50 memorials located within the park.
The goal was to create a public art piece that will honor and continue the spirit of those memorials by “providing a place of memory and contemplation."
