Overview

This restaurant project started from the build-out phase and involved multiple meeting with the Mellow Mushroom corporate design team, project architects, franchise owner and the team that I brought to print and install the final art and murals. The conceptual phase was a big part of the project since Mellow Mushroom prides themselves on creating unique experience for each of their franchise owners. We worked back and forth through in-person meetings and mood board PPT presentations. The process from design to completion was involved and detail oriented to ensure the vision came to life. I designed 1 very large digital wall mural, a smaller mural that incorporated dimensional elements and a large lightbox design.

Goals

The commissioned artwork was the most important part of the project since it set the tone for the customer experience. Mellow Mushroom is known for their artistic flair so the creativity shown was very important to them.

Process

The collaboration process was very involved and included: brainstorm sessions for initial concepts, on-site meetings, creating mood boards with Powerpoint, meeting with printer to discuss substrates, samples printed for corporate presentations, handling printing and installation details and supervising installation.
