Overview

This client asked for artwork that would enliven the circulation space in the Commons Area of two dormitory towers at Michigan State University.

Goals

The artwork was to add color and movement in the space used as circulation, for study, and for eating.

Process

I was given a very open brief and asked to recommend artwork that would enliven the rather institutional feeling spaces. The clients reviewed my proposal and accepted it with very little change.

Additional Information

Each of the six panels is 13" x 60" in kilnformed glass. The design and color combinations change as you move past while still reading as a continuous design.
