Client: Zucker's Bagels & Smoked Fish

Overview

Commissioned by co-founder Matt Pomerantz, the theme was left to the artist's own imagination. Because this is a gathering place for the local community, Matt wanted it to be uplifting and welcoming.

Goals

The curved wall influenced my choice of materials especially the gold leaf pattern - knowing that it would reflect light differently all along the curved plane.

Process

There were many studies done that continued to refine the design. Client was totally open to the evolution of the creative process.

Additional Information

The mural, Liquid Light, can be seen from the street and becomes a magnet to draw people into the store. It is particularly dramatic at night.
