Overview
Fabricated High Chromium 316L Stainless Steel Lineman Memorial Sculpture. 15′ High Stainless Steel Cast Lineman Relief and Silhouettes of community scenes and light bulbs suspended.
Goals
The Sculpture was commissioned to integrate ART Students from the Lakeland Florida Area to work with the artist after their design ideas were selected. The goal was to represent and commemorate all the Lineman in the area who work during the dangerous storms and hurricanes that occur in the area.
Process
The process of the fabrication was to cut out the exterior strips of Stainless to create an open dome look that would be welded together and metal chased to a satin finish. A Relief of a lineman was sculpted from clay and then sand casted in Stainless Steel and metal finished. Silhouette figures were cut out and a Polish Finish was applied to the metal along with the hanging light bulbs.
