Visual screening within Courthouse waiting areas. 40 sq.m Using the theme that the “law” is the weave which holds societies together, the design involved collaboration with local indigenous weaving group (the Jilinbri weavers). Text tken from the oral history of the region was also incorporated within the cast glass.
Goals
To use a glass casting process to create an architectural intervention which allowed light penetration whilst obscuring the through view.
Process
The work was desigend and fabricated by the artist with structural and installation design input from engineers and project manager.
