Overview

Award winning anti-graffiti project for the city of Fort Collins, CO. – Jennifer Ivanovic's ninth transformer mural
Media: Acrylic Painting on primed steel
Dimension: 60″ x 72″ x 55″

Goals

In it's 11 year, the Transformer Cabinet project project continues to as an anti-graffiti abatement project that brings colorful art into the community. The project enjoyed great success lowering maintenance cost of repainting cabinets hit by graffiti.

Process

Comets are ancient bodies of frozen ice and StarDust that formed beyond the orbit of the most distant planets and contain all the materials that are the building blocks of the solar system. A colorful, star-like pattern wraps the transformer painted with a lasercut stencil. A striped, melting cosmic goo pours over the box. Or, it's just a nice colorful pattern with the artist's signature simulated pour pattern. Either way, StarDust is a unique visual treat!
