Overview
The holden Heights Community Center moved from its former location, due to the expansion of a highway. The artwork celebrates the new location, beside a lake.
Goals
Sunlight is reflected and refracted by Union Lake’s surface, while marsh grasses dance in the breeze, striped bass school below, and snowy egrets soar in the sky. In nature, no two blades of grass, no two fish, and no two birds are exactly the same.
Process
The building was under construction when the art selection committee awarded me the contract.
Additional Information
The art changes with the varying light and moves with the flowing air.
