Overview
Fire escapes, there is such beauty in their graphic lines. They are like the spines of the buildings holding up the world. When stitched from clear single-use plastic and floating in the wind between towering trees, the contradictory materials and subject matter – flimsy plastics and manmade symbols of progress and power – useful and damaging – are the underpinnings for the social, environmental and political narrative.
Measurements 17′ x 17′
Goals
The goal of this project was to grab the attention of a casual passerby and cause them to inquire and learn about plastic pollution.
