Overview
High relief sculpture of a cowboy leading their horse in a storm.
Bronze, ed/5 7’ x 4’ x 2’ ©2018 Benson Sculpture Garden, Loveland, CO
Goals
Each year following the Annual Sculpture in the Park show, the High Plains Arts Council purchases pieces from exhibiting artists from show proceeds to donate to the City of Loveland for placement in the Benson Sculpture Garden, a prominent 3 acre space housing over 150 sculptures. This was selected for enlargement from the maquette.
Process
I worked with the High Plains Arts Council and City of Loveland to ensure a successful placement and design a wall-type footing for this high-relief to attach to. My foundry, Art Castings of Colorado, were extremely helpful in the installation.
