Overview

Series of large scale abstract artworks based on digitally altered watercolor paintings. The blues in this ethereal series mimic the blues of the ocean and marina and provide contrast to the gold toned interior.

Goals

The goals were to provide ocean/coastal artwork into an airy interior space in a hotel in San Diego Ca. The designer chose 6 from a series of digitally altered watercolor paintings. I often blend traditional painting and digital techniques together to bring a freshness and different perspective to a project.

Process

I worked with Kevin Barry Art Advisory to find the appropriate images that would provide adequate scale and mood for this installation.
