The project concept was to honor and inspire all those suffering from mental depression. The desire was to use the foundation logo, which is the heart, in some way. The artist’s unique composition included the hands, one male, one female, to show support. Hands are bronze with contemporary blue patina, the heart is mirror finished stainless steel.

The challenge was to "mechanically fit the heart into the hands seamlessly"- we could not weld it together without ruining the mirror finish and the patina.

The commissioning body commented that there was a lot of give and take and debate, but now they have a sculpture beyond expectations. They are very thankful for the artist working with them so willingly and making it a great experience.

The Sculpture unveiling brought "Oohs and Aahs" and many comments ... it was obvious people loved the Sculpture.
