Overview

Gather is a painted aluminum picnic table design that spills over the roof of the new Campus Commons building at The University of Colorado, Greeley. It gathers in a ribbon-like pattern when it reaches the ground and it continues to provide an intimate seat spot for 1-4 people.

Goals

I wanted to create a functional art work that would bring attention to the height of the new building, while also making an intimate space within the larger open public setting.

Process

I worked with JunoWorks in Denver to fabricate and install the work. They were great to work with and helped me to make the project possible.
