Overview
Public space named The Great River Landing overlooking Lake Onalaska on the Mississippi River on Great River Road (Hwy. 35). approx. 15'high placed into existing walled planter.
Goals
To place a sculpture that is symbolic of the access to natural beauty and the city of Onalaska, WI.
Process
It was a real team effort. The committee took care of raising the funds from private donors and getting in kind donations of services. The city cooperated with traffic control,etc... Design by Mike Martino, bronze molding, welding, finishing and installing by Tom Queoff Sculpture Studio, enlargement by Outshaped, Glass by Associated Crafts and Willet Hauser, crane service by Modern Crane and many others who assisted in the completion of this project.
