Overview
This 3100 sq ft mural is the largest in Dutchess County, NY. I was a re-painted mural over an existing mural painted in 1990. It was very faded and needed structural repair work. The wall was pointed and patched with a thin coat of stucco. I repainted the mural close to its original design.
Goals
The goal was to re-paint the mural so it would look exactly like the original treatment.
Process
I was assisted on the project with the City of Poughkeepsie, the mayor, their facade grant and the owner of the building.
Additional Information
The mural took me 5 weeks to paint. It has received glorious comments because it looks just like the original and it is one of the more appreciated murals in the city.
