Client: Salem Missionary Baptist Church

Overview

Glass Art was commissioned to create a fused glass cross for the alter in the newly renovated prayer room of Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY. The cross was to designed to fit an existing alcove. The finished cross measures 20″ x 30″ x 3/4″

Goals

This was the second project developed for the church. After completion of 3 complex stained glass windows for the same room.

Process

The images show the second cross created for this project as well as revisions to the back-lighting system. The revisions in the back-light setup were done after the client suggested that the pixelated lighting did not provide the desired calming effect the room is intended to produce.
