Overview
The two, wall-mounted sculptural works were commissioned by School Within School (SWS) at Goding Elementary School in Washington DC. The PK3-5th grade school is Reggio Emilia inspired, and the works are based on the underside of mushrooms.

Goals
The client requested wall-based work made from natural materials, with a focus on materiality. Because children interact with the work, the pieces are durable and resistant to damage.
