Overview
This sculptural ensemble consists of four suspended “mobiles” constructed of stainless steel and dichroic glass.
Goals
The suspended mobiles represent, quite literally, the four letters in the abbreviation D-C-T-C. Metaphorically, the letters symbolize the vibrancy and dynamism of college life.
This elegant approach encompasses DCTC’s philosophy and policy. It further reflects on the technical ingenuity of the college—the four “letters” are composed as three-dimensional animated technical drawings.
Process
Spatially, this artistic installation speaks the same architectural language as the design of the newly renovated area. The “mobiles” visually enrich and refine the atrium’s interior space.
