Client: Fox Valley Mall

Overview

The Foxes are two sculptures incorporated into the renovation of the Fox Valley Mall’s 16,000-square-foot center into an outdoor-themed environment, or “central park.” The new park-like space features string lighting, colorful swings, multiple seating options, a water feature, fox sculptures and tree-like sculptures, as well as a second-level platform or “treehouse” connected to the upper level by two bridges and also accessible via a custom spiral staircase. Creative Machines designed, fabricated, and installed the two eye-catching sculptures. The Sleeping Fox sculpture lays curled up on a bed of foliage, while the Pouncing Fox sculpture is mounted at the foot of the center’s fountain. This project was a collaboration with Graycor Construction and Stantec.
