Overview
I was part of a team to make five 10-foot tall bronze statues depicting a soldier and his family shaking hands with a veteran.
Goals
This group of statues was commissioned as part of the new hospital at Fort Hood. It was to illustrate the honor and reverence soldiers, and all of us, hold for those veterans who have worked to secure our freedom.
Process
I sculpted the original 6-inch maquette, 18 inch models, and was responsible for the hands, feet and each head of the full scale statues. I also sculpted various other parts as time permitted.
