Overview

Fabricated Painted Stainless Steel. 21' x 8' x 10'; Abstracted dancing female figure.

Goals

Located in a large park, a strong visual presence radiating energy and vibrancy was needed. Flamenco Revisited is about great movement and strength. It can be seen from a great distance and animates the space.

Process

I collaborated with with Orsilini Welding Fabricators to create my large scale steel sculptures. I make maquette of what I am after, show them to Bob Orsolini. We then work out the engineering and thickness of the stainless steel that will be needed. We are very concerned about the stability, strength and maintenance of the sculpture.
