Overview

ENDLESS ENERGY is the infinity sign, 90”H x 24”W x 24”D, automotive paint on steel, made 2009, repainted and installed August 2018.

Goals

The infinity sign is perfect for an Elementary School campus. It is brightly painted in low maintenance automotive paint, stands near the entrance of the school to draw people into this place of learning. I hope this sculpture inspires the children to realize the limitlessness of their future with a good education.

Process

The DC Public Schools contacted my gallery (Zenith Gallery) in DC and chose this piece for the redeveloped entrance to this neighborhood school. I decided to repaint it for its new home because I found the powder coating had faded. The auto paints do not fade and stay shiny longer in the full sun. The landscaping has not been completed as of this photo at installation late August 2018.
