Overview

Zubi Advertising has recently moved into a brand new headquarters located in the heart of Coral Gables, Miami. At 58,000 sq ft, the LEED certified office provides a modern and environmentally friendly home for the company’s 100 employees.

The advertising firm’s office is perched up on the building’s top level with floor-to-ceiling windows providing a large amount of natural light and 360-degree views of Coral Gables to act as its greatest accessories.

Goals

An awesome mosaic homage to the firm’s founder, Tere Zubizarreta is located in the elevator lobby which connects the firm to its roots. Founded in 1976, the advertising firm has become one of the country’s largest, minority-owned advertising agencies.

Process

The design team at Zubi Advertising desired an abstract likeness of their founder the late Tere Zubizarreta. . The mosaic is located on a 10’ x 14’ prominent feature wall in the lobby as you exit the elevator. The importance of the oversized portrait to convey Tere’s personality was paramount to all those who knew her. For Michelle Zubi this was achieved, she told me “This is my favorite and most painless part of the construction project, thank you!”
