The project is a modular piece that can expand from 14' diameter x 20' long up to 50' long. The form of the cave was inspired by russian ice caves, and the amazement of the light reflection in the parabolas of the surface. Patrons can come and bath in an interactive light sculpture as it fills the environment.
The work I do requires commission to manifest. The pieces are large, complex installations and I find great collaboration through various opportunities. Each opportunity is a unique condition to explore.
I pride myself in being capable of all the necessary processes for my work. In this instance I employed fabrication assistance because of the scale of the work. It is a joy to collaborate with various specialists and in turn expand the possibilities of what can be achieved.
