Overview
Dream Swept, is a sculpture that is composed of three flying birds flying through the roundabout. The birds’ form is inspired by maple tree seedling, and the brightly colored feathers are reflective of the hope of the future. All of our experiences, spirit and hopefulness we bring into it.
My concept honors and recognizes the past heritage, the present vitality, and casts dreams about the future. The form of a bird is something that we can all relate to. It is a symbol of hope and peace for the future. We all have dreams and aspirations for our future and the future of our world. This artwork captures in a dynamic way, the journey of moving from one place to the next, and bringing our dreams along with us.
Goals
Dream Swept creates a landmark artwork that welcomes people into the neighborhood. It helps tie in the past history of the land with the new future of growth.
